Strengths can be measured as security and support. There are strengths of a financial nature which provide a stability in the external world as society is currently structured with money – a detail – that is necessary yet prohibit a furthering individual spiritual development. There are strengths of an emotional nature which provide sustenance for the soul which is at odds with the current social paradigm. Both are necessary, however current priority is given to cash flow status, which in effect imprison us within boundaries of an external nature. A balance needs to be achieved in order to function within the confines of our social structure. Our balance is usually found in another person and within an interpersonal relationship, like many other balances within our psyche. We seek out those that can compliment and balance our individual natures; it is through this process that we can learn to achieve that balance within our selves – the primary and driving objective as long as it is self-realized.

When one uses their strengths to best effect, they are given freely and we raise our vibration to a level which gives us great joy. Of course there is also a ‘flip side’ the pride that is built can overshadow this joy and create other issues. When we offer our strength freely and with generosity then the spirit in which it can be received can manifest great love and generate spiritual development. It is however very important that the intention with which it is given is honest and true, if it is not it will be unlikely that it will be received in any other manner than which it is given. Likewise, if the offer is met with scepticism and distrust then no matter what the spirit of the offer it will be lost in translation and other obstacles will manifest.

Our balance is usually found in another person and within an interpersonal relationship, like many other balances within our psyche. We seek out those that can compliment and balance our individual natures; it is through this process that we can learn to achieve that balance within our selves – the primary and driving objective as long as it is self-realized.

It is when that inner balance is not there that through a natural process we attach ourselves to others to have the external balance and that just creates problems, like we find relationships that carry out issues that have not be resolved with our parents or issues they have not resolved within their own relationship and we carry that environmental conditioning with us until we make those realization.  Another person can’t really balance you as it is an external it is an illusion and it is through the realization that it is an external illusion that we can first recognize the weaker trait within ourselves and work to find the balance within… Only when we recognize that we are looking for an external balance – as often we don’t recognize this behaviour within ourselves – and it is manifesting with our partner for example only by that recognition can we extricate ourselves from this dependency and move forward to create the balance within our self. It is only with the realization that the work can begin and it brings a deeper understanding of the person that we are.  What we do unconsciously is to expect something from the other person…get it from the other person…and in that case we are sucking the energy out of them for your own needs to balance your own drama as it were.If the other person is aware of this then they can protect themselves and in the short term if they are connected to themselves and conscious of the situation the energy can be given in a loving and compassionate manner for a period of time as they are connected to a higher vibration…when it becomes habitual within the relationship then the relationship itself starts to break down and then both individuals suffer.

This is not what is best for the relationship or for the individual … it can destroy both… both parties have to be conscious of the energy flow and their own dramas in order to resolve the issue and develop their own inner balance. Even if one is conscious of the others drama, by not playing into it they are then protecting themselves and their energy is not engaging a vampiric situation. It is when we fall into each others dramas that we are enabling behaviours and dramas therfore nothing is accomplished on a personal level except negative emotion and destructive atmosphere…

That can be accomplished if the other person is open to accepting the energy and not changing it with self imposed translations or rejection…then it is a conscious effort on the part of one and the other is receptive…it is only when one is not receptive as above that no matter how pure the energy can assistance be achieved.

Only by changing and understanding our own behaviour patterns can progress be made and a positive atmosphere maintained for a path to light.

I guess you could say I am expanding my knowledge base in an attempt to remove the veil of delusion from myself…I continue as there is enough that resonates and glimmers of insight that give motivation to continue…

Yoga is sorta/kinda the scientific aspect of Hinduism, it is through the science of observation from the Vedas that the union (Yoga) is attained, from the rishis came the tradition and observations of thousands of years, from this information there were then the sages (Narada, Patanjali et. Al) that had insight into these observations and tested their validity through personal experience – Buddha was one such person, it is from his insight that Buddhism evolved… as for that the way to awaken is through mindfulness according to the Buddhist and conscious living according to the Hindu, as with most things the words are only an attempt to communicate based on the experience of the people to which they speak, they in fact mean the same, the Kabbalah and Christianity have the same idea wrapped up in ritual and other words.

Hmmm, how to awaken the sleeper within (from Dune) or remove the veil of illusion…I just finished another book called “Why the Buddha smiles” and one of the exercises mentioned that resonated with me had to do with eating (one of my favourite things to do) it went something like this (of course my habit is to exaggerate and expand upon the details) …the next time you sit to a meal think not only of the time you spent in cooking, think of the animal/plant that gave its life, the animal/plant had to absorb the nutrients provided by the earth, the farmer had to harvest, it had to be sold in market, it had to be transported to the market then to the store, the shelves of the store had to be stocked, the cashier had to tally the total, the car you drove had to be manufactured as did the truck that delivered the produce to the market and the store, the metal had to be mined and it too had to be transformed…if the food is ordered then we would have to consider the tree that gave its life for the phone book or flyer, the phone company for the phone, the wires or cell units, the person who picks up the phone to take the order, the person who put together the ingredients that have the same path as previously mentioned, the mechanism of delivery …it could continue, we do not live alone nor are we independent of others, there are many that take care of us and that we rely upon whether we are conscious of it or not…it is a combination of all those energies that keep us alive and provide…a path to light.

It’s all energy…we are compressed forms of energy at a quantum level – wave or particles are the same but can only be measured in one way at one time…it is the instrument of reception that defines perception… we see colour based on our eyes (instrument of reception) sound we hear with our ears…well not really it is a translation of the wave pattern through the nerves to the brain which translates it into experience…colours and sounds have wave patterns, this too is energy. A particular colour can be measured with a specific frequency, being sound.

We are energy beings…atoms are particles that are bound by gravity…this is what we are made of…light is wave and particle…we are the same, light is generated by heat we radiate heat from cellular respiration and the mechanics of the internal workings of our physical system… thus the physical form when returning to matter the energy returns to that which is, was and always will be…we are merely manifestations of that energy…so …thought too is a wave pattern and with focussed thought we can create and see, so too then it could be said that we can manifest all that we think…thus if we think reincarnation that too can be manifested or at least it makes sense to me that reincarnation is a possibility.

I read a lot…and there are things that become clear to me, well at least something which to my mind makes logical sense…so I assume that knowledge…or at least learn a language to assist in my communicating thoughts that are in my head…so is the case with ‘balance’…if you look at it with the seed of a flower in mind…the seed by itself is in a state of balance, it has a potential to be a beautiful flower, yet without being planted in soil that potential is inert, I have many seeds in my cupboards that have sat there for years and no flower has emerged. Once planted in soil, where moisture and the elements necessary to ‘act’ upon the seed, does is begin to germinate, that ‘out of balance’ state must continue with the addition of new elements, sun, soil – mineral elements and water, this influx of energy moves it from its state of just having potential to that of growth, then the seed grows into a plant, with the combination of the right elements (again taking it out of the balanced state) it will grow into a plant, and then the flower will bloom, with love it will grow even more and the blooms will be larger and greater in number. Energies acting upon the seed take it from its potential to the realization of the beauty that is stored within. If we treat each and every person like this what a garden we would have…more importantly, if we treated ourselves with such care and energy what we would be able to give to others, like the beauty of the flower, which as a plant gives us oxygen and in the flower gives off CO2 for the other plants, to end with again the seeds to fall and again rise in a new cycle…the balance is in the overall cycle, not necessarily within a given moment of time.

Fear itself  is what prevents a forward movement - the unknown…it is alot easier to say within current patterns of behaviour as the actions and reactions are known elements, whether they be positive or not…all of our patterns of behaviour have been imprinted by the time we are 6 years old through environmental experience due to a predominace of brain wave activity (see Biology of Belief by Dr. Bruce Lipton)…that’s what I like about Yoga Nidra, iti allows a person to over-write this programming with intention or sankalpa…repeating this resolve like a mantra and in bringing brain wave patterns to a receptive level, it allows this imprinting to lodge into the sub-conscious or unconscious and bring up issues through emotion and dealing with them in a personal way rather than with a therapist drawing these things out…similar to hypnosis but with self driven action…I have seen many people that are in situations that may not be the most constructive, yet remain in them as the experience of something outside current patterns holds more fear - on an unconscious level - that making forward moving action. It can be related to the cycle of poverty or abuse, that is carried from generation to generation…it takes great effort, education and support to break that cycle.

Fear of failure is as prohibitive as fear of success, if you have never experienced success then the mechanisms to deal with it are not in place, so it is easier to stay put or have actions that sabotage that success…if you do not know happiness and have never felt it in your reality then how can you recognize it, what would it actually mean…the same of love, if it is never felt how can it be recognized and accepted??? The rut that so many speak of is sometimes easier to deal with than any alternative and it is that fear of the unknown that keeps us in place…fear has driven may religions and societies…governments use fear to keep society in check, churches use fear to control in the same manner…so in use in society, the action to move beyond that fear takes great strength and conviction because it is working against the accepted social climate…and we all want to belong…so to belong in a particular place holds some comfort…moving out of one’s comfort zone is not an easy path to light.
